Ipswich Town star could leave Portman Road at the end of the season

McGoldrick started his career with Notts County before joining Southampton where he scored 15 goals in 75 appearances. The player moved to Nottingham Forest in summer 2009 however the striker was in and out of favour at The City Ground and was loaned out to both Sheffield Wednesday and Coventry City prior to his move to Ipswich Town.

The Tractor Boys reportedly received a £5 million transfer offer from Leicester City for the player’s services just three years ago.

  1. Maybe it is time for him to move on. I think we need a complete freshen up …and also start to build a team around our home grown youngsters. Actually beginning to lose faith in the lot of them !

  2. Losing David mcGoldrick would be a totall lose to us. such a great player and the travel from his home is Commitment of total professional and is worthy of a new contract.
