BBC pundit: Rangers may have been in talks with 58-year-old manager

BBC Scotland pundit Michael Stewart has claimed Rangers may have already spoken with Alex McLeish after the Scot was made favourite to replace Pedro Caixinha as manager.

SkyBet have installed the 58-year-old as favourite to be the next Ibrox manager ahead of Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes.

McInnes had consistently been the favourite since before Caixinha was even sacked after three successive second-place finishes in the Scottish Premiership.
