Former West Brom boss among 3 managers who could replace Stoke’s Hughes

If appointed it would be Pulis’ third spell at Stoke having previously taken them into the top flight in 2008 and then reaching the FA Cup final in 2011.

Recently sacked by West Bromwich Albion, the 59-year-old is known to instill defensive solidity – something the Staffordshire side might need having conceded the most goals in the division in 2017/18 – although his reappointment might not be that popular among the fans.
