The result was not what many people had speculated, but at the top of Chelsea’s transfer list was West Ham’s striker Andy Carroll. The ex Newcastle and Liverpool player, Carroll has been in decent form since his heroics against West Brom.
Carroll scored twice against the Baggies, including a 93rd minute winner to seal all three points for West Ham. His aerial prowess makes him a great partner for Javier Hernandez, and Carroll would likely be asked to play a similar role with Chelsea.
