Southampton must re-sign £22.5m-rated midfielder if they avoid relegation this season

The Southampton fans are feeling positive now that they have finally replaced Mauricio Pellegrino this week, but they are concerned that their club might have left it too late to transform their fortunes.

It’s been a busy week on the south-coast for Southampton Football Club as they waved goodbye to one of the most uninspiring managers in recent Premier League history and welcomed Mark Hughes to the club – a manager who could be considered something of a top-flight veteran.

Indeed, Hughes has managed 5 Premier League sides prior to undertaking his new role at Saint Mary’s, and the supporters are hoping that he can use all his experience to guide their side away from the bottom-three in the remaining weeks of the season.
