There is no getting away from how disappointing the 2017/18 campaign has been for Sheffield Wednesday, who have failed to produce the promotion push many in the Sky Bet Championship expected.

Jos Luhukay is now the man in-charge at Hillsborough, with the Dutchman overseeing the second-half of the season and guiding the Owls away from a potential relegation scrap.

Injuries have been the reason behind Wednesday’s downfall this season, with the likes of Barry Bannan, Fernando Forestieri and Tom Lees missing large parts of the season, depriving the Owls of the spine of the side that has guided them to back-to-back play-off campaigns.

Results are slowly improving, which has coincided with the return of that trio, and Luhukay will want to see more improvement between now and the end of the season ahead of a huge summer.
