It is said that Newcastle may have to settle for another loan deal this summer, with Kenedy indicating that he would be happy to remain with the Magpies next season.
As quoted by the Mail, Benitez has voiced his worries that Kenedy’s brilliant form may be pricing the club out of a permanent move for the 22-year-old.
“Yes, there is a worry the value may go up, but if you say, “Do I want him to score goals and the value will go up?”, then yes, I want him to score goals.
“That is football – if you have a good player the value goes higher. But main thing for now is to get to 40 points and then speak to Chelsea – so maybe we can do it on Sunday night,” he said.
