Robins must employ this XI to get Coventry promoted on Monday

Spread the love

Monday is arguably the biggest game in Coventry City’s recent history.

The Sky Blues have the chance to reverse their downward slide and win promotion to League One at the first time of asking.

Formerly an established Premier League club, Coventry have suffered a major fall from grace and their fans are desperate for every bit of success as they prepare to take on Exeter City in the League Two play-off final.

The Coventry players will be backed by nearly 40,000 Coventry fans, who will be in good voice cheering their team on at Wembley.

After a convincing victory against Notts County in the semi-finals, Coventry will go into the final with confidence but they must not underestimate Exeter, who are also a good ball-playing team under Paul Tisdale.

Coventry have no fresh injury concerns, although centre-half Tom Davies remains suspended and long-term absentees Tony Andreu and Jodi Jones will watch on from the sidelines.

Here are how Coventry should line up, in their narrow 4-4-2 formation, to ensure they have the best chance of winning promotion.
