Wolves must be pleased they didn’t sign £31m defender

Back in May, it appeared Wolverhampton Wanderers were on the hunt for Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof.

The £31 million defender struggled for consistency in his debut season at Old Trafford and it appeared the Swede could be loaned out to Molineux for the campaign.

The Mirror suggested a deal would be helped by super-agent and transfer broker Jorge Mendes, who has strong relationships with Wolves and United boss Jose Mourinho.
