5 Signings Celtic Could Make Before the Transfer Window Closes

Does this need explaining? The Ivory Coast midfielder has been without a club since leaving Manchester City at the end of last season and so far nothing has been announced on his future – apart from his agent saying that he’d completed a medical in London. West Ham and Crystal Palace have already been ruled out as possible landing spots, but maybe it’s a team outwith England and the medical venue was just for ease. His brother Kolo is at Celtic as a coach and was influential after signing for the club so maybe replicating that with Yaya would interest Rodgers?

Despite playing well for England at the World Cup, Loftus-Cheek has had just 20 minutes of game time for Chelsea this season and that must worry the midfielder. He’s only been in one match day squad under new manager Maurizio Sarri and that looks unlikely to change given the team’s strong start to the season. So a loan away could make sense – and Celtic could appeal given they’re competing for trophies and playing in Europe. Loftus-Cheek can’t go to another Premier League team so all of a sudden Celtic could appeal to the midfielder.
