Aston Villa’s £3m man admits he could well leave in January

Elphick joined Villa back in 2016 in a £3 million transfer from Bournemouth (BBC Sport), but since Bruce came in his chances have been fairly limited.

Elphick spent part of last season out on loan at Reading, and even though he began the campaign in Villa’s starting line-up, Bruce was open to letting him go again.

Villa actually don’t have a great deal of options at centre-back, and Bruce has been criticised from some for allowing Elphick to depart.

Elphick is yet to make his Hull debut, but he could play against Ipswich Town next weekend.
