Mihaylov spent three years at Anfield between 2007 and 2010, but failed to make a first team appearance. At the time of his arrival from Levski Sofia, he described the move as the best moment of his life.
He eventually found first team football in the Eredivisie with FC Twente, first joining on loan before securing a £1.5m permanent switch. He quickly established himself as their first team keeper, making 82 appearances in total.
Since leaving Twente his carer has nosedived, with spells at Hellas Verona, Mersin İdmanyurdu of Turkey and Omonia Nicosia in Greece all failing to bring regular football.
