The Sun on Sunday (30/09; page 59) reports that Wolves sent their top scouts to Pittodrie to have a look at McKenna. The report adds that the Villans, Swansea City and Norwich City also had representatives at the game looking at the centre-back.

The report suggests that Wolves are keen to strengthen their defensive options and are now plotting a move for the youngster, who has helped the Dons keep two clean sheets in their last three games in all competitions.

In fact, the only team to put more than one past Derek McInnes’ men this term in a game in which McKenna – who Aberdeen valued at £10 million in the summer, according to the Daily Record – has featured was Burnley in their Europa League meeting last month.
